Exploring the Community Voice in Local Strategic Partnerships (2009)

This research has been designed to explore the role of community within Local Strategic Partnerships. The research seeks to investigate the different methods through which LSPs engage with the community, and considers whether community representatives are being effectively utilized by LSPs as a pathway to community engagement.


Developing Quality in Community Empowerment- An Evaluation Model (April 2009)

The purpose of this research was to identify good practice for wider dissemination and also to collect examples which can be used to test the evaluation framework, developed by the London Empowerment Partnership in 2008.



Learning in Action with Local Strategic Partnerships (February 2009)

London Civic Forum organised an Action Learning Set in 2008 with local authority officers and community and voluntary sector representatives to explore the potential for joint working on Local Strategic Partnerships. This report summarises the key recommendations and findings from this Action Learning Set.



Empowering Diversity Action Research: Young People (2009)

This research looked at the barriers to empowerment for marginalised young people in London. This was specifically related to mainstream empowerment mechanisms that already exist across London today.




Empowering Diversity Action Research: Faith Groups (2009)

This is one of several studies which has been commissioned by the London Empowerment Partnership (LEP) in order to 'identify effective approaches to engaging and empowering groups that are typically excluded from mainstream empowerment activity' This particular report focuses on faith communities.



Empowering Diversity Action Research: Refugees, Asylum Seekers and new communities (2008)

This report summarises the process and outcomes of an action learning project- 'A New Voice in London', involving London's hidden communities. The aim of this project was to provide a voice to these hidden communities by empowering them to influence decisions that affect their lives.
