A Guide to Community Evaluation

We are pleased to present our new Guide for Community Evaluators.  The guide has been produced for Local Authorities and Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs) to support residents in undertaking community evaluations of their engagement mechanisms.

This is part of a wider body of work developed through the Department of Communities and Local Government’s national and regional empowerment partnerships to support Local Authorities.

The guide sets out:
• The wider context for engaging, including policy, duties, performance and benefits
• The benefits of using a ‘community evaluation’ approach
• A framework training plan for undertaking a community evaluation programme
• Case studies and learning from community evaluation pilots
