Waltham Forest Youth Independent Advisory Group (YIAG) is one of three linked youth empowerment bodies in the borough, and is primarily concerned with community safety issues.
The key objectives of the YIAG are:
- to improve and increase engagement between police and young people
- to act as a sounding board for any ideas around young people which the police might have
- to serve as a pro-active group taking forward the members' own ideas
London Civic Forum has produced a case study of the Waltham Forest YIAG, highlighting its unique contribution to improving young people's empowerment across the capital. To download this case study, please click here.
