It was established in January 1996 with the following objectives:
1.To promote the welfare and interests of Seniors within the London Borough of Sutton.
2.To provide a platform where matters of concern to seniors can be raised and policies developed.
3.Act as an umbrella organisation when making representation to and liaising with statutory and voluntary bodies dealing with local affairs.
4.To promote policies affecting Seniors, and generally put forward a positive view of them.
5.To overcome social isolation by providing social and cultural activities.
