The Health and Well Being Partnership is part of the Local Strategic Partnership and works towards improving the general health and well being of all residents of the borough and narrow the gaps in health inequalities. This is a broad remit that examines both health and social care issues and how these areas can link up to provide a seamless service.
Members of the Users and Carers Partnership Board sit on each of the Joint Commissioning Board. The purpose of the group (and its members) is to represent the views of health and social service users and carers within the community. Members of this Board are recruited and trained by the CVS (council for voluntary service) before they take part in the project. Members of the Board also sit on consultation boards, and provide feedback on care provision and services. They are also involved in discussions concerning the allocation of funding.
